Special screenings take place all throughout the festival and are a way to showcase shorts and films that deal with today’s issues.

The premieres during the opening and closing ceremony, the So French! and “Courts d’ici” programs, and the family-friendly events “Ciné-doudou” and “Piou-piou” are festival highlights for audiences of all ages. Our partner-dedicated screenings are an opportunity to see the surprising, daring films coming out of young artist residencies such as La Factory and La Fémis’ residency program as well as films from the War on Screen festival and the Francophone student film contest sponsored by ARTE.

Brand-new, not to be missed! This year, the festival will screen a selection of shorts shot in virtual reality.

And finally, the festival will show its support for the Master’s program in Documentary Directing and Production at the Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis in Senegal, which has recently been shut down due to a lack of funding. The festival will screen the film created by the program’s final graduating class.
